Culling What can Microbee do? Sometimes the number of Pest animals in a particular location need to be reduced or removed very quickly to prevent a potential threat to public health in one way or another. We would strongly urge all property owners to actively manage their environments to prevent the situation ever occurring where culling needs to happen. Where they have a long term business relationship with Microbee, we will always point out potential problems to clients in our reports, well in advance of them becoming an issue. The bulk of our advice is always about proactive preventative measures. We have won awards for our environmental awareness and our policy of actively seeking to reduce the need to use poisons, sprays and guns in day-to-day pest control. Sometimes clients don’t come to us until their problems are out of control. Sometimes, the problems arrive out of the blue. In these situations, it may become necessary to cull the pest population. We do recognise that there are situations where nothing can be done except culling using as humane a method of dispatch as we can legally manage. At these times, we take the view that, if it has to be done, better that it is done quickly and well by someone skilled and qualified for the job. We are quick, well trained and discreet. We use silenced weapons to create the minimum of noise and disturbance. Our technicians are carefully trained in all techniques of pest control. Those that are marksmen will not shoot unless there is a clear target and no danger of damage from an overshoot. We will not guarantee to attend and kill any specific number of animals even though we will charge for the attendance. In each situation, the Technician’s assessment of what is safe and achievable is final.  Whilst we are readily capable of responding quickly to an emergency, we would prefer that clients seek our advice well in advance to assist them to try to manage their environment in a proactive way.
